BRANDING

Do I really need branding?

Absolutely. Without branding, the population cannot identify you from any other individual or entity that is in your industry.

What does branding at KDL include?

It's different with every client, but typically our branding packagings include at the very least:

  • Tagline
  • Mission
  • Vision
  • Values
  • Logo(s)
  • Typography
  • Color Palette(s)
  • Graphic Elements
However, branding can also include but is not limited to:
  • Brand Story
  • Founder Story
  • Brand Mood Board(s)
  • Branded Templates

What is branding?

Academically, branding is defined as a name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller’s good or service as distinct from those of other sellers according to the American Marketing Association. In less academic terms, branding is what makes you stand out from the rest. It makes consumers say, "Oh! That's [insert YOU here]!" Many times this is represented by a logo, but it can also include (without being limited to) a color or colors, design element, and some of the other elements listed above (e.g. name, term, design, etc.).

MARKETING

Is KDL a marketing company?

When it comes to how we define marketing, yes. Marketing is the plan on how to use advertising, PR, sales, etc. to get more people to become aware of your brand, and that's one of the services that we perform here. We create individualized plans for our clients that help them to submerge into their respective markets.

Why don't you meet social media quotas?

The short answer: because social media is a slow game that is built around being a personality over being a product, engaging over selling, and actively learning over simply growing. This is a lesson that so many are still learning (even us!), and therefore, we don't focus on meeting quotas because it's more about figuring out what's best for each of our clients, how they should be communicating with their audiences, and what their numbers should look like based on their particular audiences.

Why shouldn't I be worried about growing my followers?

Social media is about more than getting more followers, likes, shares, etc. It's about truly engaging with people and creating an online community. On social media, people don't want to be sold to, forced to do anything they don't want to or know that they're simply being used and/or seen as a number. Social media users can smell unauthenticity, and it is never our highest recommendation nor in our best interest—or yours—to be unauthentic. It's not on brand, and it will not pay off in the short-term or the long-term.
